The previous day, I journeyed from Redding California, up the coastal Highway 101, then toed into Salem where I stayed the night. Today is my log of one of my favorite highways in the country. i84 to the historic Highway 30. It may be a mix of nostalgia, for I grew up retreating to these wet ancient roads. Maybe its the 300 waterfalls that descreatly rest olong the sidelines of the highway. A big part is the switchbacks, making me dream of riding a vintage street bike up the steep incline of the 30. Either way, hopefully my biased opinion is supported through the mental notes taken through the lense of this Sony camera.
Though all beautiful things are left only to the touch of the hands of God, To get to the stillness of the northmost Oregonian forrest, we have to make our trek through  the urban jungle of political activitism and traffic; may I introduce, Portland.
Here is a series of my favorite Photos located at the northern base of Historic Highway 30 heading toward the Vista House.
We transition from the damp climate of the northwest, across the northern border into Western Idaho, where the earth is consumed by rolling fields of wheat and yellow clover. Arguably the most underrated landscape of western America.
Here, I take a photograpohic interlude to tell a Wes Anderson-esk story of a scorching summer harvest, and a traveling soujurner making his way to Lewiston Idaho.
I made it safely to my temporary home in the ag. island of Lewiston, Idaho where I rest for a week before making my next journey back to Oregon. Take a gander through my Photo Gallery to see where I go next!
