Grand Canyon University's Canyon Activity Board put on their annual haunted house event this last October, and they invited me to direct and design the promotional side of the event. They gave me the theme of Haunted mansion.
Step one: Logo
While designing the logo, I knew I needed to accomplish a couple things.
It needed to be:
• Typographic
• Sophisticated Mansion Aesthetics
• formatted Landscape to Fit on Banner
• Easily Readable
• Monochrome
Step Two: asset creation and illustrations
To explore potential visual assets, I created rough comps of how the poster will be laid out and what elements need to be illustrated. after sketching these things, I realized the rough sketch aesthetic actually gives the drawings an eerie tone, so I revised some composition and colors and kept the overall illustration style.
Step Three: Stickers and Promo Orders. (stickers, t-shirts, and banners take the longest to order and be produced.
Four sticker designs:

Step Four: Poster and quarter flyer designs.
