The soft launch of the event was announced early on instagram. the content included the event name and logo, date and speakers + topics. Two weeks before the event we released the official schedule in another carousel post.
Poster was designed to present all of the relevant info for the event. Something to adjust for next year is making a poster with only name-date-location, then another with more info. This was a bit too hard to read quickly. 100 of these were hung around GCU's campus.
Promotional Items like stickers, trifolds and flyers were key for familiarizing the public with the name "Cultivate". I designed two different sticker designs to hand out. Over 600 stickers were distributed.
8 t-shirt designs were made. One was finalized for Missions conference specifically. Another was designed for our sister ministry, Global Outreach Short Term Missions, for their teams use.
Cultivate t-shirts were offered as a give away for the first 40 people who would RSVP.
Letter Heads from my team were designed for communication with speakers and the template was reused as a notes page for students. The notes page included my teams information as well as the names of each speaker and their breakout topic. Slides were designed for the big screen when the schedule was shown as well as thanking the crowd for their attendance, encouraging engagement, and highlighting notes and speaker points.
Prayer Corner:
The prayer corner was a shot in the dark to give students some skin in the game. This attempt to get attendees involved was a massive success and once we pointed it out there was a long line forming to mark the prayer map.
The map was mounted on a large mobile panel with two colors of pins provided. wood pins symbolize where you have done missions at, and red symbolizes a place you are praying for. The second part of the prayer corner is a pallet with plywood screwed to it. we then stapled butcher paper to it as a place for people to write down their prayers for others. That 50"x60" pallet was filled with prayers and is now hanging in our staff members office.
